Model 104: The Comp Card

The Comp Card is your access pass for your craft! Please let’s just take the time out to appreciate the fashion show producers who accepted us as model in their fashion show without a comp card! Yes, they are the realist! Much love and respect to them for sure Please let’s give respect to the fashion show producers who provided us with a photographer at the Model Casting Calls to take a headshot photo of us for $10.00! To the photographer, we appreciate you for giving us a copy of the image because we can take that photo and make copies of it at FEDEX!

Well, I must say as a former model that it is greatly appreciated because chasing the dream can become costly! However, you do need a comp card to seal the deal for the mideling agency you desire to sign with, or for the fashion show you would love to walk in hunti! How do you expect them to remember you?

Please take the time out to invest in yourself in this field of modeling. For others to take you seriously within life and business you must take yourself seriously! You must take the time out to book your photo shoots for your comp card. Your comp card should reflect who you are as a model from high fashion to street style. Also, within the comp card include your name (stage name) which ever you prefer, your height, measurements, hair color, eye color, and contact information.  Also, I recommend that you also purchase business card style comp cards too.

As a model, you may attend a fashion show and a designer might be interested in booking you for a photo shoot. Just hand over your business card that’s a small version of your comp card, it will be short a few photos, but make sure it does have your headshot and the required details i.e. height, measurements, hair/eye color, and contact information.

Below I have provided businesses that you may find useful for creating your comp card;
